Draft. This page describes what the app does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not the final published wording.

Prep Arena is a free daily practice app for NEET. This page says, in plain words, what we store about you, why, how long we keep it, and what we never do. If you are a parent reading this with your child, it is written for both of you.

The short version

Your account

The first time you play, the app makes an anonymous account for you automatically. It is a random id. It holds no name, no number and nothing about you.,You can add your phone number so your progress survives a lost or changed phone. That is the only reason we ask for it. The number is stored by our sign-in provider, Supabase, and nowhere else: it is not attached to your answers, it is never shown to other students, and it is not in any of our analytics.,We do not ask for your email address, your school, your marks, your parents’ details or your address.

Your profile

On the profile screen you choose a name to show on the leaderboard, whether you are in Class 11, Class 12 or a dropper, your state, and optionally your district. That is what puts you on the state and district tables.,The daily leaderboard is public: anyone can open it, signed in or not. Your row on it shows the name you confirmed for it (until you confirm one you appear as Player), your score, your rank, how many days you have played and how many drill sessions you have finished. It never shows your state, your district, your class, your phone number or your account id. You can choose not to be listed; your rank still counts for the others. Please pick a name you are happy for strangers to see.,The region tables show numbers only: how many daily sets a state or a district completed in a day, a week or a month, and only once at least 10 students of that region took part. Nothing on them names a student.

Your play

We store what you answered so the app can score you, rank you, build your review schedule and show you your streak. For each question that is: which option you picked, whether it was right, wrong or skipped, how long you took, and which set or chapter it was in.,We also store your finished sets and their scores, your streak, the review cards for questions you got wrong, and a daily count of how many drill questions you have done.

When you report a problem with a question

The reason you pick and the note you type go to our team’s chat so an editor can fix the question, usually the same day. Your name and your phone number are not sent with it — but whatever you type in the note is sent exactly as you wrote it, so please do not put personal details in there.

How we measure whether the app is working

We record a small number of product events: the app was opened, a set was started, a set was finished, Share was tapped, a shared link was opened, a drill was started or finished, a profile was saved. These carry the screen, the app build, your score on a finished set, and the two-letter country the network says you are in.,They also carry a random id the app makes on your device the first time you open it. It is a random number, not a fingerprint: it is not built from your phone’s model, network or settings, and clearing the app’s site data clears it.,Nothing you type is in these records: no name, no phone number, no report notes. Your district is reduced to a yes-or-no. There is no third-party analytics service, no advertising SDK and no tag manager in this app.

When the app crashes

If something breaks on your phone, the app sends us the error, the screen it happened on, the app version and the browser string your phone reports, which names the model and the Android or iOS version. This is kept for 30 days and is used only to fix the bug.

How long we keep things

Deleting your account

Go to Profile and choose “Delete my account”. You will be asked to confirm, and then it happens straight away and cannot be undone.,Deleted: your profile and display name, your phone number and sign-in account, every answer you have given, your finished sets and scores, your streak, your review cards, your inbox, your drill counters, and your rows on every leaderboard you appear on.,Kept, and we would rather tell you than pretend otherwise: the measurement records described above, which were written as history when they happened and cannot be rewritten. They hold your old account id, the device id and the screen — never your name, your phone number, your district or anything you typed. Also kept are the counts of how many students scored what on a set, which name nobody, and any problem report you filed, which lives with the question rather than with you so an editor can still fix it. Copies inside our database backups age out within 35 days.

Where your data is

In Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India, encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in is handled by Supabase, which also sends your one-time SMS code through an SMS provider. The app loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your phone’s IP address as any website you visit does. Nobody else receives your data.

Students under 18

Most of our students are school students, and the app is built on that assumption: no ads, no tracking across other apps and sites, no advertising profiles, no chat with strangers, and nothing asked of you beyond a display name and a state. A parent or guardian can write to us at the address below about any student’s account.
